The menu at Cafe 1912 is a delightful exploration of refined French flavors enriched with thoughtful, modern touches. Signature dishes such as the Shrimp Cocktail and the tender Braised Brisket showcase the kitchen’s mastery of both surf and turf, delivering complex, slow-cooked flavors that linger beautifully on the palate. The Spinach Salad with crispy cumin-fried oysters, goat cheese, and pomegranate reduction presents a delightful balance of textures and a burst of tart sweetness, while the Niçoise Salad elevates a classic with seared tuna and vibrant Mediterranean additions.
Cafe 1912’s appetizers tempt with options like Crispy Fried Calamari served alongside both remoulade and sweet chili sauces, and the Goat Cheese Ravioli dressed in a savory shallot tomato sauce. The Mussels steamed in white wine and herbs, paired with toasted bread for dipping, bring a taste of the sea straight to your table.
Not just a haven for French cuisine lovers, Cafe 1912 impresses cocktail enthusiasts with expertly crafted drinks—recommendations include the Moscow Mule and a bartender-praised Boulevardier that customers rave about. As one guest noted, “The bartender makes fantastic drinks. Best boulevardier in Memphis.”
End your meal on a sweet note with decadent desserts like the Chocolate Decadence Cake paired with crème anglaise, or the homemade Bourbon Bread Pudding complete with pecans and a scoop of ice cream. Lighter options like the rotating flavors of Fresh Fruit and Sorbet or the smooth Vanilla Crème Brûlée offer the perfect balance to round out dinner.
What truly sets Cafe 1912 apart is its warm and engaging ambiance. As one patron described, it feels like a “honeycomb hideout” — a small, retro-style bar and restaurant where classic cocktails and cheese boards invite conversation and connection without the overwhelm of a crowded scene. The attentive staff and genuine Southern hospitality shine through in every interaction, encouraging guests to linger and savor both their food and company.

Very retro, cool, small bar. Ran by the same people who have a coffee shop downtown have opened this cool bar in midtown. I call it my honeycomb hideout. Great place for when you don't want a big crowd around. Great classic cocktails and cheese boards.
Great specials that change often. Food is fantastic! Always end talking to other customers, very engaging, food has deep flavors that can only be made with time. If alone as to sit at the bar, you will enjoy! Would rate bartender as a 5 stars!
I had the crab cake appetizer and it was great. Entrée, Salmon it was good. I didn't like the coating because it was salty but overall my experience was great. I will go back again! Not fancy but the food is worth the trip. Best to make a reservation!
The bartender makes fantastic drinks. Best boulevardier in Memphis. The Bees Knees is great too (lavender honey syrup, ooph!) I had the corvina fish tacos which are not on the menu but are divine! Results of the dinner attached.
This a very nice and quaint. The staff is nice and the food is delicious. I had the duck and my husband salmon. Check them out but make sure to call for reservations.
Good food and service. $32 for 4 scallops and some risotto was a bit pricey. Excellent shrimp cocktail and moist delicious chicken.
